What is Illegal Immigration?
Illegal Immigration is the migration of foreign citizens into another country. These people do not have or have met the legal requirements of immigrating to that country. Some of the main reasons why people become illegal immigrant is that they want a better life in another country, they have family in another country or they have a job opportunity by going over to a new country. Here is a deeper look into what makes people become illegal immigrants.
Family Reunification: there are many illegal immigrants that want to live with family members that are citizens in another country. These family members can be spouses, unmarried children or domestic partners. These people come over illegal with a plan stating they are on vacation obtain that pleasure Visa and stay once it has expired. The same is said for same sex marriage, when one partner is faced with staying because they are legal and the other isn't, same sex marriage is based on state by state and immigration laws and Visas are given out by the federal government.
Wars and Asylum: Many illegal immigrants want to leave their home country due to war and the safety of their family. There are too many countries out there that have a large amount of genocide, oppression and war. Some people come believing that they can hide in another country.
There are legal ways of getting a Green Card and staying in a country legally, the problem is that it can take a while or people just don't have the documentation that will allow them to stay. They think that by getting over into another country anyway they can and disappear once they get here they can stay. This does pose problems; in order to do almost anything for example in the United States you need ID and a social security card. There are some employers that will buck the system and hire illegal because they can get away with cheap labor and it provides work for the illegal.
Illegal enter counties in many different ways, the most common is by Crossing the Border and Staying Until a Visa Expires. These people are the people that cannot and do not have the necessary information and documentation to stay here either on a temporary admissions or a permanent admissions. The problem is that once you get caught you are just going to be deported; there is no chance that they will get to stay.
Sometimes it is unfortunate but unless you can apply for a Green Card or at least temporary admissions you will be deported back to the country where you came from. In the event that you are an illegal and you marry a citizen, the government will determine the situation and they will decide whether or not you get to stay. All you can do is try so get all of the information you need to apply because you never know.
